I had a day of being busy from the get-go but where I felt I'd achieved nothing. Plenty of meetings with the bullshit bingo favourites "quality assurance","super-user" and "focus groups" featured prominently. Gah!

Every school in NE Ohio is closed tomorrow because of snow and bitter cold. I have no one to watch my kid. I'm debating taking him to work with me for a couple of hours which could be a disaster, or calling in to the one meeting I can't miss and working from home. Neither is a great option. I'm weighing which is the less-worse choice.

I scraped in on a deadline by about 20 minutes, having worked 35 hours in the past three days, and now I have to start my next week's work but the vagaries of the system mean that I only have about 10 hours work to do over the next two days (Just. Don't. Ask. It's messed up.) I really should start it, but I'm exhausted. I would go back to bed, but the housekeeper is coming over some time in the next 10 minutes so I can't really.

It's Saturday morning and I'm drinking wonderful coffee that my sister sent me for Christmas and I found a "War on Drugs" concert on YouTube and it's beautifully sunny but zero degrees outside so I'll just sit here at the kitchen table browsing the web and writing run-on sentences in MeCha.
