Photo Friday: Critters
Oh jeeze. I could post a million critterpix. All of these (except the snapping turtle, which was taken near Birmingham, AL) were taken within about a 25-mile radius of my house in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.

This was one loud MFer.

We live in the mountains, several miles from a river or lake of any size. Yet, we have crawfish in our yard!

Holy fricking shit, underground lobsters! Stuff of nightmares!

Ah, they're a bit smaller than lobsters. That's a regulation Bic click pen for scale.

Wow crawfish on the ground I've never seen. Crazy! And man snapping turtles can get gigantic. He looks like a biggun.

I'm going to have nightmares about that millipede. :-(

Hell's bells, I forgot a couple worthwhile candidates.

It's a corn snake. Completely harmless, unless you're a small rodent.
