Best Ever Veggie Burgers. →[More:]I made these today and, OMG, they are wonderful.
Extremely labour-intensive (I'm used to quick one-pot cooking), but very much worth it. I'll probably get at least 8, probably 10, nice big burgers out of the mixture.
I followed the directions completely, including using a cast-iron skillet to get the sear. They needed longer to cook than the recipe says, though. I gave them about 4 minutes each side to get the sear, then another 5 minutes on a lower heat, with a lid on and cheese melting on the burger.
And next time I'm in Columbus I'm definitely going to try the original at the
North Star Cafe.
