This is the store closest to where I live. It sold fashions of the exotic kind, along with toys, DVDs and other erotic accessories.

One day Michelle Fashions closed. A sign on the door said that the bailiffs had taken possession of the building and all the stock in it due to unpaid rent. I bet that was a fun day at the bailiffs' office ...

But like a phoenix from the flames, a new place opened, taking advantage of the zeitgeist.

But recently Fifty Ways closed, the builders moved in and this gem from the past was revealed dating back probably 100 years or more. The building itself dates from about the 1880s. A day later, the sign was torn down and thrown away. A new, modern, glass and steel frontage is now in place.
