Pictures of Google Amsterdam office A bakfiets as reception desk.[More:]An automat for dispensing spare computer cables. A caravan as a meeting room.
Pretty funny.

They're trying very hard to be colorful and flip, aren't they? Although I will take that camper trailer in the last photo.

If I worked there I'd just want to mess around all day and not do any work.

I guess you have to be Dutch to see the self deprecating humour in the caravan and the automat.

I see what you mean with the 'colourful & flip' impression. You're probably right. The last episode of Veep made fun of this Silicon Valley aspect.
But as a set of pictures I found it rather amusing.

Senyar, I wonder whether the Google UK office is as self deprecating in its humour. I guess the caravan thing would work for both the Dutch en the British.

If your job is just being the filling in a sandwich to avoid paying taxes I don't suppose you have to work very hard.

The Google site here in Pittsburgh looks similar. (My wife works there and is in one of the pictures in the first link reflected in the funhouse mirror).

Hé octothorpe, that's nice to compare. I know nothing about Pittsburgh. But it seems that the theme there is steel mills, isn't it?

Btw, as a Dutchman I like it that people in P'burgh call themselves 'burghers'. Citizens indeed!
(the English word burgher has a Dutch ethymology)

The 'burgh' in Pittsburgh is Scottish since the city was named by General John Forbes and was originally pronounced something "Pitts-Berro" similar to Edinburgh.

Aha, Pittsbrough. So people who live there are so called bro's.
