Jon and I are in New Orleans! →[More:]
We got in last night, made our way to Bourbon Street for some, what else, bourbon and oysters (at a place called Desire), got "beaded" against our will by an affable old drunk, called it an early night, then back out today for po' boys (Johnny's Po' Boys), beignets and coffee (Cafe Du Monde -- yum!), and a stroll around Jackson Square and the M-i-s-s-i-s-s-i-p-p-i.

Tonight we thought we'd check out the Rebirth Brass Band at the Maple Leaf, and tomorrow it's Commander's Palace for lunch (the weekend was booked) and The Avenue Pub, on St. Charles, starting at 6pm, for a meet-up (more details on the blue). We'd love to see anyone who's in the area!

So far so good. Looking forward to the rest of the week in New Orleans!
