What do your anxiety dreams look like? I usually have the one where I've registered for a math or chemistry class and I realize a week before the final that I forgot to drop it and it's now too late and I haven't been to class since the first day.[More:]

But last night, I had an entirely new one: I'm driving a 1970s maroon Buick down endless ramps in a parking garage, and coming up the ramp in the other lane is a giant blue and gold tractor trailer.
Being lost while driving, losing control of the car while driving, witnessing horrific plane crashes in my parents backyard, etc. I also have 'end of the world dreams' where things like zombie apocalypses, nuclear bombs, drones, and so on happen.

I'm back in college, in freshman year, usually with the car I own now. All my friends have abandoned me, including the ones I met after freshman year, and I have three more years of college to do but completely abandoned by everybody.

I have the "registered for class" one as well! For me, it's always statistics.

I'm assuming that's because I had a required stats class in my first year of university (statistical methods for biology majors, MATH140, still remember it over 20 years later :) ) that I did only attend for one day. Discovered that the lecturer basically read out the textbook for an hour, and decided I could put the time to better use elsewhere. Still got a B+.

So why do I have anxious dreams about that particular scenario? No idea.

I have boring anxiety dreams in which real current (unresolved) events replay and replay.

The only one I can remember comes from over 30 years ago when I was doing my solicitors' final exams. I dreamt I was late for class, and when I walked in I was naked and everyone else was fully-clothed.

After I woke up I was so annoyed that my subconscious could only come up with the stereotypical anxiety dream.

Those weird ones where you're like "what was THAT about?" and then you Google it and find it's a classic anxiety dream. Like: losing your teeth (they crumble and fall out).

I've had the "still in grad school and late with my project" dream a few times in the last few years. So happy that I'll never be in a credit class again in my life.

Mine is just like initapplette's, except for me it's usually a history class, which I don't understand because I liked history. I also sometimes dream I have to go on in a play but haven't got the lines down.

I had one similar to the scene in The Truman Show where the rest of the cast wouldn't let him leave. In the dream it was my mother.

Mine are usually tornadoes. and walking into orb weaver spiders & webs.

Mine are usually a variation of being abandoned by my best friend (who I've been leaning on a lot in the last several months) or letting my kids down in some, usually violent and gory, manner.
