I buy the fiction/memoirs in translation for my library, and I have been buying these as they are published. I also catalog the books for the shelf, and have spent some time skimming the first few chapters of each of the available volumes. I think they are worth a try, so I will attempt the first one and see how it goes.

Yeah, that's probably the right approach. Just try a part and not aim for all six volumes.
