Those are amazing. (But that little one balanced on the tree branch reminded me of something out of True Detective or The Blair Witch Project.)

Senyar, you're right that stacking rocks in high piles is an ancient ritual.
If it makes you feel better: in the Alps it's a benevolent ancient ritual. They're called Steinmänner, stone men. Wanderers add a stone each. They help other wanderers in finding the path.

When I was in Iceland last year, there were cairns everywhere.

we have cairns all over the high mountain trails here; it's a way to follow the trail in bare rock / tundra.

that said this goes far beyond "cairns" (rock-stacking) and is more magical balancing sculpture. I particularly like his use of water in many of these shots.
