I have heard of only about a quarter of these bands. Luckily I like REM, so I guess I fit in in Maine.

Huh? The Head and the Heart? Never heard of this band, though Google tells me they started in Seattle in 2009.

I wonder who got polled to get these results.

Need to catch up on Bonobo (hey, he's the guy with the video made by Cyriak! and totally NOT Cal-local) but so RELIEVED that California wasn't handed over to The Eagles ("Hotel California" NOT) or The Beach Boys or Van Halen or even Snoop Dogg... although if you're going to go with prehistoric California Pop, I wouldn't have minded Steely Dan.

(of course, New Jersey got Springsteen, but R.E.M. in Maine?)
