so in a comedy of errors no shopping at all has been done in the lfr household for a hilariously long time, and unless I can figure out something clever to make with the following fridge leftovers they're going to have to be pitched soon.
I have: a couple medium sized rutabagas, a bunch of red beets, a pound of chorizo, and a recently opened jar of grape leaves from which 2 grape leaves total were used (so, full basically).
All of it needs to be used up by the end of the week or it goes in the bin. I'm leaning towards some species of stuffed grape leaves but I'm unsure of whether the chorizo will work taste-wise.
thoughts? Complications: we don't eat breads / grains / pastas. I do have some wild (black) rice in the pantry (maybe). Also lots of herbs & spices of every variety, and a few staples like onions and tinned tomatoes and soforth.
Halp?
