The comic is wonderful, The Whelk. LT ordered this drink at one of Boston's most learned cocktail bars a few years ago after reading about it online and getting intrigued by the idea of Creme de Violette. It is really beautiful, like no other drink I've seen. It tastes like Swee-Tarts, but in a good way. I learned a few factoids from your illustration - love it, thanks!

Yay! thanks. The (crappy, badly-lit cellphone) camera cannot catch it well but year god the dish is a beautiful, strange color. I tried to make one on twitter and I can tell you the photos made it WAY more blue and deep then it is in person, which is this grey-purple-blue.
