Does something have to be portable to be considered a commodity? Could removable wall paper be considered a commodity?
What makes something a commodity is that it can be exchanged in bulk in cash transactions. So, maybe?

I don't think "removable" is relevant to the question. Aggregate is a commodity but once it's made into cement it's no longer "portable."

In MBA-speak, low-end wallpaper would probably be considered a "commoditized" product because multiple firms make nearly indistinguishable products and compete primarily on price.
