Hal Hartley Lives! I think I've been mesmerized by this man for over half my life, and it started with Trust.→[More:] If every single bill in creation hadn't suddenly come due in the last month I could finally meet him AND help him make a movie.

man, I loved Trust. I've been a Martin Donovan fan since. That character was something else.

I think he's gotten me hooked nearly on everybody he's used. Watching Edie Falco do everything, the weirdness of James Urbaniak showing up on SATC. Parker Posey was in everything before him. I think I'd like to have her encased in carbonite right after Party Girl, except she gets to be Alan Cumming's ex-wife on TV, and everybody should get a chance to do that.
Now that should be a prize on Kickstarter.

Ah, Martin Donovan. I still have to find the existing episodes of Wonderland.

I got really into the now-cancelled series Boss with Kelsey Grammar, and I was several episodes in before I realized that his chief assistant was played by Martin Donovan of Hal Hartley fame.

I wish there was a Hal Hartley version of Whedonesque, because I will watch almost anything they are in. I still miss Adrienne Shelly. She would have made a handful of fun movies by now.
