Oh is that what those dreadful things are called?

Aren't they horrifying? I just found out what they were called and promptly googled I hate bitstrips - this was the first result. Heh. I thought about putting it on facebook but then I thought, argh, no, you will alienate too many well intentioned souls. But oh god. I can't STAND them.

I managed to block the app (it's not as easy to block apps as it used to be) and now I am free!

This makes me so happy that I totally deleted my Facebook account.

I've never seen them. Either my Facebook friends are slower than most or I've got it blocked somehow. There used to be a way to see what apps you had blocked but I haven't been able to find it recently.

Thank you! I don't even. I had never heard of these and my cousin started posting them. The thing I don't understand is not that they're not funny...they're not even in the same hemisphere as funny. They are banal captions associated with banal images. I don't get why turning yourself into a manufactured cartoon is supposed to making something banal funny. Please, let them go away rapidly.

I didn't realize it was an app - I thought people were just uploading them as images. Maybe now I can block them.

You should be able to block the app by going here and clicking "Block" in the bottom right hand corner.

I don't think I've ever seen these, but maybe I just didn't recognise them as 'a thing'. Hopefully I never will.
