Hump Day Hypothetical! Step right in!→[More:]You know for certain that you will die of an incurable disease within six months. Would you allow yourself to be cryogenically frozen *within two weeks* if you knew it would give you a modest chance of being revived in 2,000 years and living a greatly extended life?

Modest chance, huh? What the hell, I'd give it a shot. Besides, I'd be really curious to see what things were like 2,000 years from now. True, I'd miss Jon and my mom, but since I'd be gone in six months anyway, why not.

What, awaken without my Bear, my dog, my home, my job, or any likely resources? Hell no. With or without an incurable disease, not an option I'd take.

Time travel appeals to me provided I could return to now, not otherwise.

I'd want to see what things look like in 2000 years, but I'd be concerned that everyone would be way smarter and more evolved. Can we freeze my dog too?

Nope. I mean, there are logistical concerns -- How would I make money? Would I have any skills useful in 2000 years? How would I get housing? etc. -- but just in a philosophical sense, I like having one lifetime in one discrete chunk of time.
