Surely someone here appreciates the works of Emily Kimbrough.
Our Hearts Were Young And Gay (1944), part 1 of 12 on youtube.
The Eve Arden Show (1957).
This is really good stuff, but I have to head to bed. Looking forward to watching later!

Wasn't it Cornelia Otis Skinner who wrote Our Hearts Were Young and Gay?

Ah, should have checked my facts first. It was a co-authored effort, though it was written in Skinner's voice. I remember her dictum, "Emily attracts incident as navy blue serge attracts lint."
