The Friday AM (because I suck at remembering to do it at night) question If you could go anywhere for a one-day visit, where would you go? Why?
I'd head to Tofino, where my husband and I honeymooned, with our dog. It's beautiful and unspoiled and there are excellent restaurants -- what a combo! But a long weekend would be more fun than a 1 day visit.

I'd go to the past, before my hubby became terminally ill. Just to spend one more day cherishing each other.....

(Yeah, I know, stretching the point but it's all that comes to mind).

Well, if time travel is on the table, the obvious choice would be to visit my 21 year-old self, give me a smack on the back of the head and spend the day explaining the consequences of the stupid decisions I would make over the next 30 years.

Failing that, I'd like to spend a day visiting the places of my childhood in Auckland to see how much they'd changed.

Assuming I wouldn't have to deal with the travel days/jetlag, I'd go back to Oahu. Otherwise, I'd go to Seattle to see the SF museum.

Auschwitz. Still on my list of places to visit before I die.

Anywhere, as long as my fiancée were there with me. I miss her.

Hannibal, MO, because I really want to see Mark Twain's hometown and the associated museums, but I really don't want to spent more time than that in MO.

I am ruling out time travel, otherwise my answer would be different. In that case I think I'd go see the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show, probably at the Chicago World's Fair of 1983..

Seiders springs in Austin was a great place to pass many a day.
I remain surprised the statue of a saint has yet to be ripped off.

And I never took the time or initiative to see if the small cave in the background (where part of the spring flows from) went anywhere...

Back to my favorite place in New Zealand.

The space station. I'd love to see the earth and beyond from that vantage point and float around weightless. So cool.

The chamber at Newgrange, Ireland, at the winter solstice on a sunny day. (I've entered the lottery for access to the chamber in 2014, so I'm hoping that this wish will become a reality!)

That would be so amazing, initapplete.

I would go back to Redford Township Detroit. When I was 21. I would have the fun that I did there. I would work at Farrels Icecream Parlor and Restaurant. I would be having parking lot parties and driving around in a big white boat of a car. I would be... I would be happy. I would be fucking happy. Once again.

Hong Kong. Interesting place that I would love to see, but can't imagine spending a lot of time there. Or maybe Angkor Wat. Would love to spend time in India, New Zealand, Australia, Bulgaria, Romania, Viet Nam, well, it's a long list. Not listing places in the US, as I am planning a road trip soon.
