To continue the Confused Cats theme: two kittens shut down subway service for tens of thousands of Brooklynites.
Aww.

One of the first stories I read this morning was about a cat rescued on the BQE. Lucky kitties in Brooklyn these days!

Yii. Near the third rail. (Hm. I think I'm going to call them Edison and Tesla.)

Kittens on the tracks.
We now know the key to shutting down the city.

So much cuter than alligators in the sewer.

I love this story, including the sardonic one about how if the animals at risk are rats, the trains speed up.

Also, I'm a dog lover and the Bear adores cats, but while I'm fine with freezing the city to save 2 kittens, it turns out he's opposed.

Also, are kittens total trouble tornadoes or what?

I remember seeing a documentary a few years ago about the London Underground where they were talking about animals getting onto the tracks. Apparently cats never get electrocuted and are always either rescued safely or make their own way out. Dogs, on the other hand, are almost always fatally injured.
