Ha! It's somewhat impressive how much of that song I remember despite not having heard it for a decade or so. One of the last big radio hits before I tuned out entirely.

Yeah, it's always a hit at karaoke. And that gifset is just one more reason everyone should watch Parks + Rec. (srsly, I love that show; more than I hate people who proselytize about television programs)

Ok then; I'll admit to knowing that nr 3 is Neneh Cherry - Buffalo Stance.

When it comes to preaching tv series: I've recently enjoyed Broen (The Bridge) (Danish/Swedish), Engrenages (Spiral) (French) and I've now started Les Revenants (The Returned) (French again).
Other ones: I love the cinematic qualities of Hannibal. And the acting by Mikkel Madsen.
And of course Breaking Bad will return soon!

jouke, I had to look up Buffalo Stance. That's not the track I had in mind. Though I do dream of a cinematic duel between Michael Madsen and Mads Mikkelsen.

Ha, I managed to get two things wrong. Guess it's time to go to sleep. :-)

The suffix -sen means 'son of'.
And Mikkel is Michal in English.
Which leads us to the conclusion that those two are each others fathers. A parental ouroboros.

...and Mads Mikkelsen is just about my favorite actor going. Setting aside his iconic performances in Nicolas Winding Refn's Pusher and Valhalla Rising, his work in Efter brylluppet (After the Wedding) and Jagten (The Hunt) is sublime, beyond superlative, and his stranger roles in films like Adams æbler (Adam's Apples) and De grønne slagtere (The Green Butchers) are not to be missed.

It's a rare actor who is good in everything. Mads Mikkelsen is the man.

Hey, would it be rude for me to start a new Name That Tune thread today, so soon? I know there are a couple unresolved clues here. Eideteker inspired me and I got excited and made a list. I figure it would be buried if I tacked it on here.

I can hold off for a couple days if it seems too crowded.
