Thanks, folks! Jon and I just got back from a seafood feast in City Island and I shall be spending the rest of the evening digesting. It seems the restaurant we went to (Sammy's Shrimp Box -- not to be confused with Sammy's Fish Box or Sammy's Lobster Box, all owned by the same Sammy and across the street from each other) is a popular birthday destination, too, since a chorus of "Happy Birthday" broke out during dinner not once, not twice, not three times, but a total of FOUR different times. I've never had that happen once, let alone four times. Freaky.
On a side note, I was hoping the new little royal might be born today, since it was rumored to be the due date, but since it's now three minutes to midnight in England, alas, it was not meant to be. My niece, however, who lives in England, is pregnant and due on Wednesday, and my brother says the royals traditionally send out a little gift, like a commemorative coin, to babies born on the same day. So, if it couldn't be July 14th, I'm rooting for the 17th. And healthy babies and moms, of course.
