I love that you included the merkin!

That post was all about the merkin! I actually found the merkin over a week ago, had a "now I have seen everything" moment, and wanted to do a post on just it, but had to spend some time figuring out how I was going to present it. Doing a "hey everybody look at this knitted merkin" post seemed just too over the top. Then I got the idea to do a post on knitted wigs and to just include the merkin in that, with a NSFW warning to my readers anywhere I linked it (anyone who looks at a NSFW post after being warned *wants* to be shocked). It's working well. Nobody's flipped out on my Facebook page at any rate.

I love all the wigs. I'd never have guessed it was a merkin-driven idea.

YESSSSSS MERKIN

I have actually knitted a Hallowig. I can't remember why, exactly, but it lived on a mannequin head in my boss's office. Her name was Arlene.

The Cabbage Patch wig, though... man, that is genius.

Oh yes, it would be quite a solid post even without the merkin.

I clicked for a merkin and was not disappointed.

1. The thing that gets me is that it is attached to pantyhose, so I wonder--

2. If you have nothing to attach it to, what would it be, a half assed, er, no assed, crotchless bikini bottom? There probably wouldn't be adequate pins or combs back when they were-- needed? fashionable? qua?-- but what would they attach to-- and this leads to so many other questions.

3. Oddly, or perhaps not at all oddly, it seems I have the means to make some in two or more spectra of color.
