Look, the Legos come with pretty clear directions, and if you don't want to build that it's cool - but don't blame us for your half-star-wars/pirate-ship, half-monkey/space-cruiser abomination. 'why' asks after intention or causation. By asking that question as kids we learn a lot about human culture, society and knowledge.
But using this technique recursively you'll quickly reach the stage where you'll be asking about things and concepts that have not been designed and hence have no goal and that have no clear outside cause either.
