Ok, The Smiths are the breakup music in play for pre-punk twiggy I haven't been punk in a lot of sell out time, but mention cause forgotten punk anthems are really welcome. Anyway, I broke up after 6 years and putting out a call for any and every anthem/solace song of any flavor.
Aw .. so sorry. I do not have any song suggestions but here's a hug ((((((((((Twiggy))))))))). It sucks a lot. Please be good to yourself and treat yourself the way you would your best friend if this were happening to him/her. I wish we were neighbors - I'd bring over chicken soup and chocolate ice cream.

Do you want music to weep to or rally with? Strangeways' Last Night I Dreamt would be my go to of the former.

A note of caution: if you pick one album or soundtrack to stick on repeat to wallow with as you heal, it can the become very bonded with the experience, so they you end up not listening to it again until you can recontextualize it.
I can't even remember what I was mourning, but this has happened with a couple albums, which I may add, depending on usefulness. None are punk, but all are "alternative." But if it's punk you want, I got some stuff to load up.

Oh, also, I am trying more for "fierce" than sobbing (cause you know, the sobbing comes on its own). No Dylan, because it will be like seriously years before I can listen to any Dylan without hyperventilating on my own sobs.

1. Almost everything I have at hand in that vein is limited & at least a decade old because this disc drive is being intolerable.

2. I have an inexcusable amount of Bad Religion right now because of a theme thing going on.

3. Given the excuse to load up on women belting about survival, I will go bananas on that after Sunday.

Okay, while I try to put this ridiculous pile in some semblance of order, I'm going to explain it a bit first, aka here are your liner notes. I may even send you a cover, as this is functioning as lovely way to procrastinate from the crapload of stuff i should be doing.

Don't get hung up on pronouns and gender, because I didn't. If that is an issue, I'll pull those out. It's a little hatey and extremely sarcastic, yeah, but you can, of course, read into it any way you like. I was going more for a catharsis kind of thing, some things are in there mainly for a certain chorus, others to lead you a bit toward the cliff before yanking you back, and so on and so forth.

Since divshare loads so much faster now and I have apparently loaded up 50 gigs of stuff I haven't even listened to on this, suddenly this looks like possibly too much music. Hmm. Notes, anyone?

This could be nearly the least Eastery soundtrack anyone has ever decorated eggs to. Nearly.

Oi, someone's got to stop me before I just make this into a five hour video performance with my cat dressed up & throwing beer bottles.

And I think stating that may assure no one stops me.

Plan B: gurl, send me an email.

The rest of you can relax, you'll still be getting something, too.

For the viewing audience: now that I have officially scared the crap jesus out of the neighbors and the bar across the street (funny story, some other time), Twigs has some music and you will have this four hour monolith sometime tomorrow.

Ah, it was a Good Friday. Bahahahaha. Now back to business before I hit ya with the Georgia Mass Choir. I've gotta lotta Lent to go, lemmee tell ya--

Argh. Let's see if this works.
It doesn't seem to be coming up as a playlist for me, so if someone could check it, that would be great. They should be in order but it's different from the one I have on my itunes at the end and that's a bit of a story, so I don't know how it sounds. I'm all ready to explain and disclaim if someone can see if it comes up as a playlist for a proper post.

Obviously it's not all strictly "punk" but she was listening to the Smiths fer gassakes and so it's a bit leavened and I have my whole disclaimer/explanation ready.
