What did you have for dinner? [More:]I made a version of this curry chicken pasta salad, except that I just eyeballed all the various ingredients, used the canned Costco chicken, and I used slivered almonds, chopped apple, and Craisins. A little onion would have been good, too, but I was too lazy to chop it. There's enough leftover for lunch tomorrow, yum yum!
A huge taco salad. There's this bodega on my way home that always, always has perfect avocados (it's kind of weird, really), and this past weekend's spring planting had me thinking about lettuce. Then beans, cheese, salsa, sour cream, olives, seasoned hamburger, tortilla chips, onions. Packaged up the leftovers for tomorrow!

I was so hungry after gym, I splurged on a reuben sandwich with fries at the corner diner.

If you still have any, can you tell me what name is on the sticker?

I ate a Fuji apple sliced into eight pieces, two halved garlic dill pickles, a steamed veal frankfurter spread twice with deli mustard, served on a frankfurter bun, and two glasses of ice water. For dessert I peeled and ate a banana.

Apple juice was among the ingredients listed on the package of buns.

The apple was from upstate New York. The pickles, mustard, and bun were from Brooklyn. The frankfurter was from Chicago. The ice water was from the Croton watershed area. The banana was from Honduras.

I had chicken curry over rice in a small eatery that my wife and I went to after yoga. It contained whole roasted garlic cloves, and was quite tasty.

Chicken tacos. Lots of shredded lettuce, homemade guacamole, tomatoes, jalapenos and cheese. Leftover chicken will go in tomorrow's salad for lunch.

I went to the Nets game and our tickets included food so we ran around trying to get as much food as possible :)
I had 4 cheese mac from Fatty Cue, zucchini chips, flatbread bagel chips, and some Jr's cheesecake. Super healthy.
I wanted a salad but there was only 1 place that had any and the line there was too long! (people were lined up for the hotdogs, not the salad)

I made mango salsa and ate it with rice crackers. It was so good I ate tomorrow's too.

We had sausage and peppers, sandwich-style. On a section of baguette which had been sliced lengthwise and spread with honey mustard and layered with a slice of swiss cheese. To drink, I had a 32oz jar of water with a couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar mixed in. Mr. Oats had a beer.

Gyoza and sesame prawn toasts followed by a bento box with duck, rice, tempura veg and salad. Not cooked by me but by a new local Japanese restaurant. It was lovely.

I grazed dinner last night because I was hosting my book club, and didn't have time to eat before everyone got here, so: jicama, cucumbers, gouda, blueberries, almonds and popcorn. It wasn't bad, but I want Gaspode's dinner in my belly!

I found out today that my apple was actually from Washington state. Most of the other varieties at my grocer are more local.

I was so deep into my work yesterday, that I didn't have time to make/plan anything for dinner. So, the missus picked up one of those $5 specials from Papa Murphy's. Good cheap pizza. At least I had a Bell's Two Hearted in the fridge.
