28 February 2013

How are you all doing on your February goals? [More:]1. Have a song picked out and at least half of the choreography written for the Extravadance duet piece.

I have the song picked out, edited down to 2m43s (from 5+ minutes), and I've done a fair amount of blocking it out and have several sections ready to go. I need to really work on the veil entrance since that is something I am not very confident with.

2. Be finished sewing the gold costume bra.

I have completed all the sewing that I can actually do before I meet with the troupe leader to hopefully finish up the last bits of it. (She has an iron, which I need to put the lining on with.) We were scheduled to meet in February, but she came down with that nasty flu/cold thing that has been going around.

3. Complete one other sewing project (probably a 3/4 circular veil for AKD).

I've got the fabric pieces all cut out and will probably do some hand sewing on it tonight. I haven't decided if I want to run it through the machine or not, especially since it is glitter-dot-ish fabric.

4. Meet in person with my West pillar.

I did meet with my West pillar and we went to the local Korean spa and spent several hours there while I answered her many questions. She is an excellent teacher. I'm still not out of the West yet, because I need to come up with and complete a project. She gave me the assignment of water scrying, which is also something I seriously struggle with, and I've been attempting to do that in the hopes that it will help me contact my ancestors and come up with a project. I think I have an idea for something, but I'm not sure if she'll approve it or not.

So how have y'all done this month? :)

March's goals post will go up tomorrow.
I don't seem to have had any goals. : ( Sounds about right actually. It's been a long, cold, tiring month of endurance.

Perhaps for March.

Good for you, though. I admire anyone who can sew. My mom was an excellent seamstress. I left my 7th grade project on the school bus and got a D in sewing. B in metal shop, though.

I am trying to figure out how I missed the initial post.

My goal is to cheer up by the end of the month, but it's gonna take a lot of work.

I would say I'm only about halfway there.

1. Keep the craft room/bunny room organized so that I can work on sewing projects. -- Sort of. The table has started to have things piled on it in the past few weeks - I hope to clean it off and work on some sewing projects this weekend.

2. Make progress on the shirt to dress pattern class that I am taking. -- Yes... I have the basic pattern done, and the videos downloaded, so I just need to work on altering the pattern. Again - this is the weekend!

My goal was to leave February and my crazy multiple work deadlines behind. Breathing easier now that all those projects are done.

How did I do at emailing my friends? I Sucked! I guess I will make it my March goal.

My goal (taken on in the middle of last week) was to have something for the February music challenge.

Goals? Is "haven't jumped in front of a train yet" a goal?
