100 Copies of The White Album How it sounds if you play 100 vinyl copies of the Beatles' "White Album" at once. Side One.
I think this sounds gorgeous but also almost scary. This story about a guy who has devoted his whole life to The White Album is depressing to me.

Yeah, it's pretty captivating, but I can't wait to hear it when they get the additional six or seven hundred layers on. It's weird how something that, in description, sounds like it should be entirely unpleasant, works as a thing of beauty.

A friend recently pointed out that Metal Machine Music, which for years was considered a menacing aural assault, now actually sounds sort of peaceful. Like new age music for those of us that grew up on Sonic Youth and Neubauten,
