George's cat, Smokey, a tiny little grey and peach kitty. G. said she was vicious and nobody could touch her. But she loved me, she'd follow me everywhere, meowing to be picked up. I was the only person she'd allow to pet her and she'd sit on my lap for hours. She was 19 when this picture was taken. The day before I was due to arrive in Ohio for another visit, Smokey took herself off into the woods and never came back. She was 23.
I want to share animal pictures, but when I preview, it looks like it just posts the picture in the thread, not the "click to see image" that everyone else has. am I missing something? (I have such bunny & pug cuteness to share!)
needlegrrl, it's because you have images set to "off". I have images on and I see the photos in the thread. Up on the navigation bar at the top, there's a link for "images are on" or "images are off" that you can set for yourself.
...and my new dog. I found her about a month ago on a hiking trail in the backcountry of the Smoky Mountains. She was a lost bear hunting dog. She was exhausted, dehydrated and very very hungry when I found her:
Efforts to find her people failed and we've adopted her. She's now spayed, chipped and has all her shots. We named her Maeby (maybe we'll find her people, maybe she's healthy, maybe we'll keep her...) She's settling in nicely:
