In the even of power failure (happens ALL the time here) I will be under my blankets keeping warm. I have food, drink, chocolate, and enough battery life (and a crank radio) to last a few days. My neighbor has a generator (mine is broken) to keep my insulin and veg cold.

I suspect that sometime during the night, the zombies will come to my door. I will not allow them to see movement in my house for fear that they will break in and use my arms as a snack. The cat and dog next door will probably become food. They have been excellent friends and will make a wonderful curry. I am confident that given enough time and supplies, I can come up with a mechanical way to recover H2O from my urine.

In the event overwhelming numbers of living dead neighbors, I will repair to the river (next door) to float East into Great Bay and then North to other points Canadian.

I'm still prepped from Sandy so all I did was get cheese and crackers a bottle of rum. This part of town never looses power.

Don;t worry! I have it on good authority that zombies freeze in place when the temperature drops. The spring thaw may be a problem however.

Once again, glad that I don't live on the east coast. Worried about family though. At least my sister in Jersey still has the generator that she bought for Sandy.

I grew up south of Lake Erie, just far enough to catch the full brunt of lake-effect snow, so 30" accumulation overnight was fairly routine for us. Conversely, I lived in Boston just long enough to know that 30" there could be a major pain in the ass, to say the least.

My advice: hit the library.

Being in Atlanta, I think we'll have some time, but perhaps I should stock up in any case.

Unfortunately, my sister in law and grandfather are up in NY, at a hospital, so I am keeping my fingers crossed, because I do not believe they are prepared.

I'm scheduled to fly to Florida tomorrow. I have two flights- the original flight out of JFK at 1 and a backup flight out of Newark at 5:30. If neither of those work, I'll be in town and back to work on Monday!

Well...it's snowing. I'm making chili. We have rye whiskey. If the power stays on, I'm gonna catch up on Downton Abbey. If the power goes off, I'll practice guitar as long as it stays warm enough, then mole up and read.

Venturing outside every few hours to shovel in hopes that we can stay ahead of the snow (though the morning shift will be a real doozy). Otherwise, everything's as normal around here.
