So, let's talk Project Runway ... Spoilers inside.→[More:]

Project Runway hasn't been shown in the UK for years, but now I have unlimited bandwidth, I can watch it online. I saw Ep.1 of the new season yesterday.

- I like the team idea, which makes for so much more draaaamaaaa, particularly if the best designer is in the losing team.

- It was lovely to see Christian Siriano again. He was always a favourite of mine.

- Tim Gunn is a darling. (I have a stake here, I once saw him in NYC and said "Hello Tim, I'm such a big fan" and he gave me a big smile and said "Why, thank you!" So he and I are close friends, you see.)

- Zac Posen is cute, and far less bitchy than Michael Kors, but oh, he needs those eyebrows tidying up.

- I liked: the Native American woman, Moustache Man, the Aussie and the Funeral Director lady (so glad she didn't get sent home, even though that dress was fugly).

- The right person got sent home. Even I, with no idea how clothes get made, could've done better than her. And she was so sure she was hot shit.

- I LOL'd when I saw the only black guy is named Stanley Hudson? Really?

Agree with most of your points, although if I have to hear about that woman's ethnicity one more time I think I will scream. That's on the editors though, not her.

I liked the moustache guy as well, and knew he'd win. I really liked the dress of the other top guy too.

Yes, the grey and black dress was lovely and I even thought, wow, I'd wear that, which for me is really unusual.

I liked it more than I thought I would knowing "all team challenges and no Kors" beforehand. None of the designers or outfits really jumped out at me in the first episode though.

I have been peeved since the changeover from Magical Elves to Bunim/Murray. Everything Laura Kathleen said made me want to vomit.

I just feel like so many of the contestants were crafty as opposed to designers. Everybody had stuff made out of existing vintage clothes or with a doily sewn on top. A few of them had actual chops, but that was the exception.

And Patricia? I liked what she did (especially when whoever that whiny person was kept complaining about how Patricia was making her own fabric) but I hate how they bring a "weird" person on every year despite the fact that it is so clearly not what they're looking for. Same with Cindy; she makes upscale Chico's clothes with a little quilting thrown in. (My mom would probably wear them and look nice, but... no, not on this show.)

I don't think I've ever seen the "I'm not here to make friends" cliche come up quicker.

I will have to check it out On Demand. That will be a good thing to do tonight when my husband (who hates most reality TV) is working. I adore Tim Gunn.
