Kitty Cams Project Pulled from a comment on the blue because it deserves its own post! Scientists at the University of Georgia & National Geographic teamed up to put cameras on cats and record their "surprisingly complex" lives. Includes excellent scary videos.

The possum one was like something out of Paranormal Activity.

Also, possums are revolting, like really large rats.

I like opossums...they are actually very mild mannered animals who prefer flight to fight. They will growl and put on a fierce show, but it's just a show. That's why they play dead. And they don't carry diseases - they seem to have a natural immunity to rabies, for example.

I like seeing the world of a cat like this. These are really neat views.

One of my cats (Whitey Ford), before he moved in with us spent 4 or 5 evenings hanging out with a possum for about an hour each evening. They just sat beside each other and seemed very content. I like to sit out and read at night and over the years have had a number of possums come sit beside me for a bit. These solitary animals seem to like communing with another mammal for a bit.
