Oh the excess... I was just given a mouse pad with a 2013 calendar on it. It's a marketing thing for my company, but really? A calendar mouse pad? When I already have one I like?
Blarg - meant to more inside.

I don't like it because the calendar will be useless in a year or so and I have an optic mouse so I don't really need a mouse pad, and I already have so many stuffed in various office boxes and computer stuff containers that I don't want another one. And it's ugly. Why couldn't they spend the money to do something actually useful for the company, maybe even giving the mouse pads to our customers - since they come from the marketing budget.

It does have the same calendar on it as I got last week, but the calendar is also pretty useless. Major holidays are noted with little icons - like a heart for Valentine's day - but the background is black and the dates are yellow and, ugh... it's just ugly. I want a calendar that I can write things on, not this POS. And again, why am I getting one instead of them being sent to our customers?

Grar. Get off my lawn.

People use calendars? I mean, if you're at your desk your *useful* calendar is one mouse click away, which is quicker than lifting your mouse out of the way so you can squint at tiny yellow print on a black background.

Hrm. I kinda like the idea of a calendar mousepad.

Anyway, I use a mousepad at work because I feel like the mouse needs a home.

Yeah, I use a mousepad too, and a wrist support.
