The London Evening Standard's take on Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. Ouch.[More:]I've never 'got' Tom Cruise as a movie star. To me he's always had what I'd describe as negative charisma - this I'm-so-great aura he exudes that turns me right off him.

He was okay in Magnolia, but that's about the biggest praise I can offer.

Which huge movie stars leave you cold?

I've seen the trailer and I keep thinking "he's so cute when he acts tough!"

I totally don't understand the appeal of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christian Bale, or for that matter Hugh Jackman.

I on the other hand would be perfect as Jack Reacher with my 6'6''
But my character would be Dutch. So the first name would be the real Dutch name Harm. And the surname Bruyser.
Yes, Harm Bruyser, that's me.

Hugh Jackman is pretty goofy in interviews so I like him lots.

I've never understood George Clooney or Matthew McConaughey. Or the current thing for Channing Tatum.

Not a Tom Cruise fan, either (though I loved "The Last Samurai"). Nor do I care for Christian Bale. I really can't tolerate David Spade, as well.

He does look a little silly but Pittsburgh looks great in the trailer so I might go see it just for the local scenery. Plus my neighbor Trevor has a quick part in it standing at the bus stop (you can actually see him in the trailer, the guy on the far right waiting for the bus).
