Decided to live permanently in Seattle. Now seeking an artists' commune.
After the last election during which Washington state voted to legalize weed, I decided to settle here permanently. I love the weather, and I liked most of the neighborhoods north of Downtown. So now I am looking for a new place to live, and since I am on a month-to-month basis where I am now, I can take the time to find the perfect place.

Since we don't conduct business deals on MeCha, if anyone wants to share specific rental opportunities or whatever, please contact Ardiril by email. (General talk about neighborhoods or whatever is fine here.)

I wasn't looking for a place here, just saying I am staying here.

Hm, I guess my wording is suspect. Yeah, go ahead and delete this, and I will come up with a different post.

I'm really glad you've found a place that suits you, in terms of climate, health-wise and temperamentally. I know it's been a journey for you.

I am so pleased, Neighbor! And very impressed with your great taste. Funkiest most arty neighborhoods, I think, are Fremont, Wallingford, and, north of Seattle, Bellingham.

I hope to find something in Wallingford or Roosevelt. Capitol Hill could be nice too, however that, erm, *hill*!

That's nice news. Glad things are getting better. Happy tidings to you. Seems like you've worked quite hard to get to this point. Yay!

Overall, the timing has been rather accomodating. The worst part now is the crushing boredom of the moment. Certain temporary events have conspired to leave me somewhat housebound with few options when I can get out.

Does the sun actually shine in Seattle? I've never been, just wondering from various things I've read about persistent clouds & drizzle & such. What about Bellingham?

Ha! Today I found 120-day foreclosure sale papers posted on the front door. That pretty much clinches it.

... and my landlord just got a DUI.

Merry fucking holidays.

Oh dear. That sucks, Ardiril. I hope it all works out for the best.

I have one suggestion. I believe Loquacious is still in the Seattle area and is an artist. You might try contacting him through meMail. He may have some tips for you.

Finding a place in Seattle is dead simple with craigslist. Today's events are more an inconvenience than an actual problem.

However, I wouldn't turn down a cigarette right now, if one were offered. :)
