Eclipse! We had a total eclipse here in FNQ (Far North Queensland) this morning - we got to see a little of it but it was cloudy! →[More:]At least not pouring with rain though!
Oooh, wonderful pictures. And yes, he's really growing fast.
I've only ever seen one solar eclipse, in August 1999. I was working for a small law firm, and when it came to 'Eclipse Time' we shut the office and walked down to the local park, which had a big lake. We watched the reflection of the eclipse in the water. It was a strange and beautiful experience, to have total darkness in the middle of the day, and I remember that everything went quiet too.
As the eclipse began to pass, I and co-worker began singing "This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius, age of Aquarius, Aquariiiiuuuuussss ..." to many strange looks from the resident park winos and our fellow co-workers.
