Heh, I thought that it sounded a little kitschy for Apple to make an 'iPad Mini'. But it's not really unexpected, listening to macrumors and co. Anyone rushing out for one?

Also, never before have I been so convicted of how Macs are really so good-looking, but probably not really worth the premium? I don't know. It's like, $9000 in my currency. Like what.

Nothing against the iPad Mini, I'm sure its a decent product, but Apple has really lost the element of surprise these days. Everything they do seems very incremental and defensive.

The new MBP looks more interesting to me than the ipad mini.
The conceit of the mini is that you can operate it one-handed, but I don't think that is true because it's still wide and clunky enough to need another stabilizer hand (and btw I would want this for the subway, not for...other things).
