You know what would be a perfect subject for a Whelk-directed video? Steam Powered Giraffe. It would drag you out here to the Best Coast, but be careful, they're replacing one of the original vocalists and you don't want to end up in steampunk-robot makeup... (or maybe you do, to each his own)

She's got her own music video coming out which animators have spent the last TWO YEARS working on, I saw the rough cut, it is AMAZING.

And I also love those fake butterflies in the mason jars. I bought one last year at the grocery store because it was on clearance for $3. Yes, $3! And sometimes I leave it on the speaker or sub-woofer so it goes on its own. Although when it goes flitting around for no reason at all while sitting on the bookcase I get a little wierded out.

Thanks! Yeah six years of prop hunting gave me a lot of stuff to work with ( and July is when all Halloween stuff goes on 75% off sale) but we did make quite a few things, like the butterfly crown and shell eye patch.

It started as living tarot cards but on set it turned into more Good Girl/Evil Girl played by the same person with lots of themes of entrapment in there, some of the tarot stuff survives in the two of cups and the Empress/Devil imagery. Also, the happy squirrel

Wow, that got me to turn off the 1960's Bob Dylan that has been on constant repeat for 4 days. And it was awesome. I saw your post about making the eyepatch earlier so I was like all excited to see how it turned out. I'm glad to know about the butterflies too. Awesome job!
