And when we meet, it's a good ___________ Ah, 1973. [More:]As a devoted 9-year-old Tiger Beat Magazine reader (I even had a letter published!), I dutifully entered their contest, correctly guessing the missing word in the above lyric (my sister helped me), and winning a copy of the debut album of The Defranco Family. Alas, Tony was no David Cassidy, and I was unmoved. I give you here the one hit from that album in all of its catchy, overproduced glory. AND Jack Benny -- close to the last year of his life I'm sorry to say. I would love to know what's running through his head during this introduction.

Oh, and Tony darling, don't forget you're supposed to be [fake] singing into the microphone at ALL times, including when you're shakin' it.
I thought we were playing Matchgame.
Boobs.

The only thing I see happening by the millions here ends up in a gym sock. Later, in court.

I see a glittering panther surrounded by glittering parrots.

The circle is complete. Thank you.

I've never heard of the Defranco family, but from the first sight of them it's clear they're trying to emulate the imcomparable, sublime Osmonds. And failing miserably.
