Be honest. Am I a total dweeb for liking Steam Powered Giraffe, a harmonic, mostly-acoustic folk/Western/doo-wop/barbershop/Lounge band fronted by three ex-mimes/buskers made up as Steampunk robots*?→[More:]
Bonus content: the Giraffe gets kinda funky and does a jazzy but weird singalong. (And if you dig deeper into their early live performances on YouTube it gets even weirder.)
*nicknames: the Jon, the Spine and Rabbit.

If these guys would consider doing more songs by outside songwriters, I think they could gain some major mainstream recognition.

They had the daily gig at the San Diego Zoo over the summer, so they ain't doing too bad. I expect we will see bigger things from them in the near future.
