My dad does a lot of work in NY office building generator complexes, and usually travels on the ferry to and fro. He has an amazing set of weird NY views, including waterfront views, that I love. It's terrific to see glimpses of the city that are so different from the usual skyline perspective. It's a mad infrastructure.
