Epic pictures while trekking through Asia I haven't really had the time to give them the attention they deserve, but moonbird has been posting the most amazing pictures as he's been on vacation for the last two months. This is about where it starts.→[More:] I think I really started to notice, in the way they just grabbed my attention, when he hit Vietnam. I've been saving the updates as they hit my inbox and finally had a moment to try and track when they began. Gorgeous shots, gorgeous subjects.

It's always interesting to see how other people catalog their adventures. I don't have much interest in photos, except insofar as they make me wish I could be in the same place(s) with a microphone and a field recorder. These are great shots all the same... even if they only send me deeper into my wanderlust than I already am!

Look who just logged into Metachat; last time I was here the Internet had just been invented and Thomas Edison had died from terminal wanking. Thanks for the sweetness y'all- the trip included Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, by way of the slightly disturbing Dubai. I've actually been back for a while, and get to upload when there's free time (ha!). But there'll actually be a book late this year or early next written partially on the trip, partially after, and the pics help to tell some of those stories.

Y'know, I've really missed the MC/MF community. Now that I've made a decision to quit my job, hopefully I'll be seeing more of you terrific raconteurs of diverse topicality.
