Yeah I have wanted to do this hike for a long time, since we're down in Ashland (right next to the CA border) a fair bit.

It started out at 6500 ft in elevation and climbs gently from there, so although we only hiked 6 or so miles (3 out and 3 back) we were really feeling it and spent the afternoon hunkered down in our air-conditioned room before going to the play last night.
