Faith in humanity restored.
What little act of kindness have you seen recently that filled your heart and made your day/week? I'll start.[More:]

It has been VERY hot up here in Northern New England for the past week or so. It's been very trying. But, as if working hard at the local food pantry wasn't enough, someone at the church donated a big box of Flav-O-Ices for the families that rely on the food there.

It was such a simple, thoughtful thing to do. Just a couple of dollars, really. I can see the excited children's faces that benefit from it because little treats are so few and far between for them. It really made my week.
That's so awesome, MonkeyButter!

I see more people giving folks who are asking for help at intersections money much more often. I felt bad for this older guy who was on the median at a really busy intersection - no shade, 100*+, no hat. He walked back along the line of cars at the red light & I pulled out my wallet waiting for him to come back to the front of the line. The light turned green before he got to me & I couldn't hold up the line so I went. I felt horrible. The next day I went back through that same intersection & he was there again so I gave him a $5. It was all I had.

It has got to suck to stand out there & ask for money from total strangers.
