Wooden Roller Coasters! This is a cool NY Times article about a guy who still designs wooden roller coasters- be sure to watch the video, as well. I love the interview with the very mid-western nun who's a coaster freak.

Wooden coasters are the best! I highly recommend the ones at Kennywood in Pittsburgh, especially the Thunderbolt.

gaspode, Coney Island is high on my list of places I want to see in the world! (I HAVE ridden the Georgia Cyclone many, many times though)
