Some nice stuff but the double-breasted things are for smaller men then I.

Yeah the double breasting would make me look like a cartoon gangster but ....almost ...worth it....

I like Victorian clothes. But it's hard not to look ridiculous in them.
Last friday in Utrecht I saw a student stroll by wearing checkered plus-fours. I couldn't stiffle a guffaw.

As a student I went to a ball wearing white tie. It's a bit victorian.
I deplore that there are no occasions as a grown up to wear white tie. So much more elegant than smoking.

So when there's a wedding or funeral or very special birthday I'll settle for wearing a three piece suit. Which is the best I can do in looking 'ornate'.

No Jouke, everyone ELSE looks ridiculous. Clearly.

This is also exactly how I imagined the Neo-Victorians in The Diamond Age looked, right down to the stylish pocket protectors.

Meh. Very tight fits make everyone look a bit fat. And it is hard to breathe in clothes that tight. Plus I think the cuts would make you boiling hot.

Wait for another year to spend obscene amounts on clothes, I say,

Gary Oldman. He makes that look good.

That's what painfully restrictive undergarments are for! Besides if they're to the right fit they look tight without actually constricting movement which is one of the Big Deals in men's suits.

As someone who wears three-pieces in the height of NYC summer ...you get used to them (Or you move to the wintery Imaginary Prussia these outfits seem to come from)

You know making Willem Dafoe looks sinister isn't exactly hard but damn is that a sinister Willem.

They don't me. But then I'm slim and 6'6"

I really like the look, but just way too hot for here. On the radio today, people were complaining about the cold. According to the Meteorology gurus, this June is the coldest since 2000 in my city. Because we have had a run of three days where the daytime temperature didn't reach 20c.

You are the handsome svelte exception that proves the rule, jouke.

Spiffy!

Really interesting how this shares the same colors and patterns as the women's collection, but that one is all '60s/'70s, while this one is all... 1870s Russian noblemen.

So. Poorly-fitted suits are back in?

These guys look like sausages stuffed into very expensive casings.

And what's with that dove gray thing? Space chef, or member of Flock of Seagulls tribute band?

Do Not Want.

I like the cut of a lot of the jackets, except for the asymmetric collar details. Something about that puts me off

A lot of this stuff is way more Edwardian than Victorian. Some very late Victorian touches. Interesting details. Love all of these.

The "fat sausage" look was totally cool - it made men look "stout-chested," a good thing. It's pretty refreshing after a couple decades of slouchiness.

It's pretty costumey stuff, but it's way better than the women's collection which is a total rehash.

I kind of wish I could dress (my very thin but athletic) boyfriend in those double-breasted clothes. I think they would suit him perfectly. Everything he wears now is way too baggy, since he doesn't get anything tailored and he has very broad shoulders compared to his tiny waist. I like those proportions but it makes today's clothes all look a bit ridiculous on him.

No need to fear Skynet. || Any opinions about Huddler?
