Angiogram today. It should be fairly routine, a stent here and a plasty there. I expect to be back sometime after 6 pm local.
I went in for an angiogram when I had CHF ten years ago. Signed the release to stent and plasty. When I awoke the Cardio doc seemed so unhappy... "What's wrong?" I asked. "We couldn't find anything that needed fixing!"

I halfway hope you disappoint your doctor just as much. (But without an easy fix, I still haven't gotten 'all better', maybe not)

I hope that your time tomorrow goes great, that you don't even need a stent, I hpe that your cardiologist ends up asking you how it is that you've such a spectacular heart health, because he/she wants to emulate what you're doing, plus use you as a model for all his other patients, pay you for it even, huge sums, which you'll then share with us here hopefully.

I mostly see my cardiologist every year in July, pushing back to August this year. He's one of my favorite people, younger than I am, he's super-cool, he's like Dr. Kildare 2012 -- we have a time.

I just think that it's the funnest possible thing -- here you've got a doc fishing around in your heart and it's "routine" and you'll be home in time to watch the news. Many, many changes in the years I've been alive -- I'm 57 -- but if I had to choose what's coolest it'd absolutely be the advances in medical care.

Good luck!

Yes, please disappoint your doctor with amazing health. Teach the old buzzard a lesson.

I can assure you that won't happen. I've had cardiologists take one look at my records and pass me on to the group's wunderkind. I lie on the other side of the spectrum; if the surgeon today can't fix the problem with a stent, then the next option is something more invasive, which for me has also become somewhat routine.

Also, this doc is about 12 years younger than me. heheh

I had the same thing done. They fill you up with sweet, sweet Atavan, roll you into the OR where you watch them as they work. It is painless and will be over before you know it

Many, many good wishes for a positive visit. Glad you are here in the Seattle area, where we rejoice in many wonderful physicians and hospitals.

I survived another one. The first angiogram that didn't result in stents. That means I have my cholesterol under control and my diet is adequate.

But, the doc didn't find what is causing these latest chest pains. I suspect emotional stress, so that is the next phase.
