Tornado Tracks The tornado sirens were the freakiest parts of living in OH & GA for me
I opened this thread in a tab because I used to live in Ohio, where there were a lot of tornadoes, including a doozie that was very near where I lived, and which still haunts people who live there. Now I live in Maine, where we often have large storms, occasional hurricanes, but few tornadoes. I like serious weather, but tornadoes are fearsome.
I lived in Texas for six years and, luckily, never had to live through a tornado. The closest I came was one went through downtown Houston just a couple days before I moved there. I also, luckily, just missed the Northridge earthquake by a few days due to moving to Houston (the office I worked in was totally trashed and everyone had to move to different offices; I have no idea what happened to the houses I lived in).
And there was a tornado spotted the next county over this afternoon. Which reminded me that either I need to get back in the habit of leaving the radio on all the time or buy a weather radio.
