I don't know. I love Bill Murray, but I've never seen him do this sort of acting before. Based on that preview, I'm not sure if I'll like it.

I'm with Dark Forest. That trailer didn't tempt me even though I like Murray

This looks good and terrible at the same time. Can't wait.

OMG I am all over this. Those scenes driving through the countryside are probably around Warm Springs, Georgia... FDR apparently used to love to give the Secret Service the slip and zoom around in the southern countryside like he wasn't the president of the United States.

I'm friends with two different folks (who don't know each other) who were once tour guides at the "Little White House," FDR's home in Warm Springs. (Which is gorgeous, BTW- I recommend the tour if you're ever down this way.)

Bill Murray has wanted to be an actor and not a comedian for a long time... the fact that FDR was a very funny, witty guy makes this a perfect match. The trailer looks like it's going to be overripe Hollywood baloney, but I'll probably actually see this one.

Looks light and enjoyable. As much as I loved him in Lost in Translation, I always feel like that young-woman-with-old-dude movie conceit is a barrier to me. This film looks like a nice way for him to play a more appropriately older role and still exercise his natural wit. And, damned if he doesn't look believable as FDR.

And yet still be an old dude with a young woman!

At least this time it's historically accurate, and not the usual mismatch that doesn't need to be.

My view is similar to Thorzdad's. I'll wait for the DVD.
