Jackson Browne - A Thousand Kisses Deep. I found the song online at my public library's free music site. [More:] I was a huge fan of Jackson Browne, to the point where I could not listen to him anymore at all.

But I have been checking some of his CD's out of the library and enjoying them. This is from a Cohen tribute in Spain, with Javier Mas, from Cohen's current band.

(Also got tickets to see Cohen in Portland, again.)
I like this, thanks for posting, danf. I was a huge fan of his when I was a teenager. That changed though.

Thanks danf. Senyar I've liked a lot of Browne's work but every story I hear about him tells me I happy to have never met him.

Well to be a teenager in LA, preternatually gifted as a songwriter, (arguably) really good looking, fawned over by the movers and shakers in that town (David Geffen took an interest early on), gotta do something to your head.

But this song works for me, him doing it.

But I remember Senyar's story, and it still gives me chill. Glad that Lindley turned out to be nice. I have seen him a lot, both with Browne and with his band El Rayo X.

Well Senyar, that is why I can't stomach reading anything by Bukowski, or listening to any Laura Nyro. I'll tell you those stories someday.

I have read a few stories about Nyro's pathlological shyness. Is yours along that vein? No need to get detailed, just wonderin'.

I didn't know that about Laura Nyro, but the stories about Jackson Browne and Darryl Hannah were horrifying. I wasn't a huge fan, but I had college roommates who played him constantly.
