Wonders of modern life →[More:]I just finished a business call to someone at their home in Australia. In his background, I could hear quacking fowl flying outside. Perhaps migrating for the winter approaching in that hemisphere.

It seemed marvelous to listen to a bird on the far side on the planet.

I used to speak to a fellow Jumpgate (RIP) pilot in Australia on teamspeak. After playing a bit we'd just talk for a while. It was late here and early there. I'd often hear the wild sulphur crested cockatoos arguing over birdseed on his back porch. So yeah, kinda amazing.
